This piece arrived in many parts. The table top frame was coming apart the panel with the bird carving was split into two as was the front and rear lower panels. The entire pieces was split into individual parts . This was then stripped of the black finish as the client wanted to see the oak wood. The hinge area had suffered from splitting and had to be remade. After reassembly a light stain was appied followed by shellac and then waxed
